Hi All Haven't logged on for a while, realize now after reading some of the posts, that i should log on more as this is the best place for support and understanding. Feeling a bit sorry for myself, fed up of waking up everyday aching and having pain when you try to do everyday jobs! Would really like to just feel normal again. Had the rhummy nurse appt today, which was Ok but seems my das score is higher than when i last went in May. I'm still just taking prednisolone at the mo, because we're planning to another ivf cycle in Feb/March next year, think that is getting me down as well. Sorry really feeling sorry for myself, i should think to myself that it could be a lot worse! Lou xx I love people who can make you smile even when you do not feel like smiling. x

Hi Louise, Sorry you are feeling down. It is hard when we ache day after day and we can't see any improvement. This is the place to come though - a place you can moan all you like and know you will get a sympathetic and understanding ear. When I'm fed-up I look on the Lol cats website (because I love cats and it always makes me laugh). Can you plan a treat for yourself, perhaps a facial - something to make you feel a bit special. Good luck with the IVF. Take care Sue

Loiuse-no one is allowed to say sorry on here! I think we can all understand how you feel at the moment. I have days when I just think "I am so SICK of feeling poorly". Are you on any painkillers? Can you have a depo injection? YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Hello Louise
Nice to meet you. We all know exactly how you feel with regard to waking every day with pain, stiffness, fatigue. grr. as Julia says on this Forum we can MOAN and I moan for England sometimes.
Can you have a steriod injection I had one 2 weeks ago and this has brightened me up may be worth asking, but if seen RA nurse today presumably you advised her how you felt. What pain releif are you on?
Poor You. As said above treat yourself. Last month when I was down I treated myself to eye browe shape and a facial - it was great and jujst what doc ordered.
Good luck with the IVF - I am sure that has to be difficult in itself.

Hi Louise,
I completely understand how you are feeling, some days you just think will it never end, it would be so lovely to have just one painfree day. You are well entitled to feel sorry for yourself, if only for the fact that you can't even take DMARDs while you are trying to conceive. I wish you all the luck in the world for your next IVF cycle, hopefully it will work and you can then get on with treating your RA.
Love and hugs, Doreen xx

Hi Louise,
I sooo understand how you feel. With this illness everyday is a struggle. The aches and pains, the constant tiredness, it really gets you down. You are young, you should not be feeling like that, it is so unfair.
I was `lucky` to get my illness when I was in my fifties, can`t imagine how it must be, when you have to work and bring up a family. I salute you and pray, that you will have success in trying to become pregnant.
Do keep in contact with us on the Forum. People without RA, just don`t understand, how we feel, and their eyes glaze over, when you tell them, that you are below par and just cannot do, what you used to do. I also hate to keep grumbling to my family.
I have had a very bad flare since may. My bloodtest results are still deterioating despite having had sulphasalazine added to the mtx. I dare not have another depo, as I have already have had 2 this year, and the last one made no difference.
Take care.
Merete

Thank you everyone, I feel brighter after reading your posts. I Don't feel so alone , my problemm is telling people how I feel, so thats another reason why i should log on here more. I did have a steriod injection today, so I hope to feel better in a few days. I think you are right though, people don't always understand, espeacially as day to day you can feel different from one day to the next. Thank you for your tips as well. Thank you for listening Lou xx I love people who can make you smile even when you do not feel like smiling. x

Just wanted to say Hi Louise. Hope you feel better after the depo. It is demoralising waking every morning feeling sore and weary.
A work colleague has been going through IVF for 2 years and gets lots of support from a forum. Few others can really understand fully what it is like. You have a lot to deal with. Wishing you all the luck in te world XX Ailsa

Hi Louise, I hope the depo brings some relief. I know exactly how you feel - I'm so tired today I can hardly be bothered to breathe I understand how difficult it is to explain to people how you feel as well. I don't really tell anyone how I feel, but come on here and have a rant and a moan. NRAS and FB friends have been my saviour for the last couple of years. It really helps. I know some people probably think I'm a miserable sod - but offer their support and advice anyway I hope the pain eases and you can start to feel more positive. Julie x

Hello Louise,
This is where I come if I am feeling down or need advice. I first joined in May this year when diagnosed and it was such a support. I don't come on as often as I use to although I do have a read to keep upto date. I feel it is the only place where people do really understand how you are feeling and what the pain is like.
All the best

Hi there. I don't come on here as often as I should but it does help to have people who understand, who've been through it all and are never too busy to answer a quesion they've probably answered a million times before. It all helps, knowing you're not alone. As for others, I couldn't care less any more. I've gotten over the stage where I feel I have to be who I was or care what they think. Now I say "no" and I'm a little more selfish when I have to be. If they don't like it, tough!
